The Sunrock League has been running for more than 34 years. It originated at the Rockdale Bowl, Sydney, Australia. With the closing of Rockdale Bowl, the Sunrock League moved to a newly built AMF Southgate Lanes at Sylvania in southern Sydney in 1982.

Today, the league is a 12 team league, with over 90% of the bowlers being members for more than 10 years, with one bowler, a member from the times at Rockdale.

The league is a Cash and/or Trophy league and our member's ages range from teenage to 70 plus. It is a handicapped league which means that you don't need to be a professional to bowl in it. At the end of the league, everyone ends up with some form of placing, even the lowest bowled game gets some cash.

Sunrock plays on Sunday nights, starting at 6:45pm.

The league is run by a committe of 4 (President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer), as well as the 11 Team Captains.
